Every major ad platform earned an A+ this quarter. Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Pinterest Ads, Snapchat Ads, and TikTok Ads all recorded 100% uptime with zero major or critical incidents over the past 90 days, making ads the cleanest category in StatusBird's entire monitoring set.
That result is based on independent status checks run every 2 minutes against each platform, more than 260,000 checks combined across the six services, covering the 90 days ending July 2026. A six-way tie is unusual, so this post spends less time on rankings and more on what a perfect quarter does and does not tell you.

Platform by platform
Google Ads: 100% uptime, 0 incidents
Google Ads is the largest paid acquisition channel in e-commerce, spanning Search, Shopping, YouTube, and Performance Max. Across 45,000+ independent checks this window, we recorded zero major or critical incidents. When Google Ads does have problems, the damage tends to show up as silent data gaps rather than obvious errors, which makes external monitoring especially valuable here even in a quiet quarter.
Meta Ads: 100% uptime, 0 incidents
Meta Ads covers Facebook and Instagram advertising, still the core prospecting engine for most DTC brands. It matched Google with a perfect 90-day record. Meta has had significant ad platform incidents in past windows, including a notable outage in March 2026, so a clean quarter is a return to form rather than a guarantee.
Microsoft Advertising: 100% uptime, 0 incidents
Microsoft Advertising serves Bing search ads plus the Microsoft Audience Network, typically a secondary channel with cheaper clicks. Zero incidents across the full window. For a platform many merchants set and forget, that is exactly the behavior you want.
Pinterest Ads: 100% uptime, 0 incidents
Pinterest Ads reaches shoppers in planning mode, which makes it a favorite for home, fashion, and gifting brands. It posted 100% uptime over 43,000+ checks with nothing to report.
Snapchat Ads: 100% uptime, 0 incidents
Snapchat Ads skews young and mobile, and works as a supplementary channel for impulse-friendly products. Its record this quarter was spotless.
TikTok Ads: 100% uptime, 0 incidents
TikTok Ads is the fastest-moving channel in the mix, where creative burns out quickly and campaigns need constant tending. The platform itself held steady: zero major or critical incidents in 90 days.
Why a perfect quarter still is not the whole story
Three caveats keep this clean sweep in perspective. First, our availability metric counts major and critical outages only. Ad platforms frequently run with degraded reporting, delayed attribution, or slow dashboards that never rise to a major incident, and those problems can quietly distort your spend decisions without appearing in these numbers.
Second, 90 days is one window. Both Google Ads and Meta Ads have had meaningful outages in earlier periods, and when they happen the failure mode is expensive: campaigns keep spending while conversion tracking breaks, so you pay for traffic you cannot measure. A perfect quarter lowers the odds, not the stakes.
Third, your ad performance depends on the rest of your stack too. An ad platform at 100% does nothing for you if your storefront or checkout is the thing that goes down while campaigns keep driving paid traffic to it. That interaction between layers is a core theme of our 2026 e-commerce infrastructure reliability report: the weakest link in the chain sets your real availability, and it is usually not the ad platform.
What to do with this data
If you were choosing channels on reliability alone, this quarter gives you no reason to exclude anyone. So make the decision on audience fit and CPA, and treat reliability as a monitoring problem instead of a selection problem. The practical move is an alert the moment any platform you spend on reports an incident, so you can pause budgets before a broken conversion pixel spends your daily cap blind.
How we measure reliability
StatusBird runs an independent status check against each ad platform every 2 minutes, around the clock. Figures cover the trailing 90 days as of July 2026. Availability counts major and critical outages only; minor degradation is excluded. Grades run from A+ to F. Current numbers for all 84 services we track are on the StatusBird reliability tracker, and the full cross-category analysis is in the State of E-commerce Infrastructure 2026 report.
Catch the next ad platform outage before it spends your budget
